Lavaland will transform Dutch farmland into permanent carbon sinks. We do this by leveraging the process of Enhanced Rock Weathering, whereby we spread crushed volcanic rock (basalt) over agricultural fields. By doing this, we deliver a win-win for farmers: Boosting crop yields by improving soil vitality, and creating a new revenue stream by capturing atmospheric carbon dioxide converting it into valuable carbon credits.
